Photographer Kirsten Meier is the founder and curator of Art Rocks Design (founded in 2018), a collective of fine art photographers in Montreal. Working in iconographic research after her literary studies in Paris, she became passionate about photography and meeting exceptional photographers in the countries where she lives. She graduated from Sorbonne IV, Paris, with a Master of Arts in 2006, and works for publishing houses in Europe.
A native of Germany, she spent half her life traveling around Europe before deciding to set up an art project in 2018, a photographic project with those image artists who have left their mark on her. Curator of her gallery, where she represents the work of exceptional photographers in Quebec and abroad, Kirsten Meier received the Directors Award from the Artexpo New York exhibition committee in the photography category in 2021. Her photographs emphasize the interplay of light, perspective and geometry. Landscapes and the harmony between man and nature are his favorite subjects, especially volcanoes, seas and oceans.
